June 28th, 2018 - Forecast API and Rate Limit Bug Fixes

The release for today includes one change to the Forecast API, and several changes to the Rate Limits for all APIs.

Forecast API

The aggregated value for Chance of Precipitation is now calculated as the maximum of the hourly values, instead of the average, for ?blockSize= values greater than one.  For example:

https://api.awhere.com/v2/weather/locations/44.428,-110.589/forecasts?blockSize=24&properties=precipitation&useLocalTime=true

Rate Limits

  • Rate Limits have been adjusted.  Please refer to the limits specified here.
  • Limits are now counted starting from the first request, and are reset on a sliding window relative to the first request. The full product rate limit resets every minute after the first request, instead of every minute at 0 seconds.
  • The quota limit exceeded error now correctly includes HTTP status code 429, and is formatted following our error message convention.
